Bertrand Guillonneau

In the late 1990s, Dr. Guillonneau and colleagues at the Institut Mutualiste Montsouris developed the modern technique of laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, making it standardized and reproducible. Dr. Guillonneau joined the faculty of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NY, NY in 2002 to create and lead the Section of Minimally Invasive Surgery in Urology. He was appointed Professor of urology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He then chaired the department of Urology at Diaconesses-Croix St Simon Hospital, Paris. In 2019, he took the lead of the program of onco-surgery in the department of Urology at Charite University Hospital, Berlin.
